Watershed Master / Beach Watchers come from all walks of life. 

Some are new-comers who want to learn about this new and wonderful place,

some are long-time residents who are deeply invested in preserving our precious water resources,

some are students who want to get involved in their community,

some are environmental professionals who want to understand better the important work being done in Whatcom County,

still others are retired folks who bring with them a lifetime of experience and have so much to give to our community.

All Watershed Master / Beach Watchers love to learn and want to create a legacy of clean and healthy waters for the future. 

It’s not necessary to have any specialized educational background or experience.  While some volunteers do have previous education and /or work experience with natural resources, most do not. 

Watershed Master / Beach Watchers are some of the nicest, most interesting people you’ll ever meet.
