Welcome to
WSU Skagit County Beach Watchers
WSU Skagit County Beach Watchers are university-trained volunteers dedicated to protecting our county's fragile environment through education, research, restoration, and personal stewardship. We hope you share our passion for this amazing place and will join us to understand, value, and protect Skagit County's precious environment.
We are 90+ strong and since 2005 (when the WSU Beach Watchers program expanded to Skagit County), we've given back over 24,000 hours of volunteer service in our community. We are involved in dozens of community projects - organizing educational lecture series for the public; collecting data on marine plants, animals, and shore topography; talking with our community; and doing hands-on work. This diversity of activities allows each of us to find our personal niche for our individual interests and talents while connecting us to our community.
Please explore our website further to learn about our upcoming events, hot topics, and volunteer opportunities.
Check us out. Get involved. Make a difference. Many of the opportunities are open to the public.
