Greenbank Farm

Description, size, location and components of the estuary
The Greenbank Farm estuary is located in the south central portion of Whidbey Island on land that is part of the Greenbank Farm.  The estuary is just north of the farm buildings.

The marsh is home to a large community of Great Blue Herons. The farm itself consists of 522 acres but only a portion of that makes up the estuary.

Fresh water is provided by runoff from the road.

Man made obstructions to the estuary

There is a road that separates the marsh from the open water of Saratoga Passage.
