Odonthalia washingtoniensis (Flat sea brush)

Like O. floccosa, this species of Odonthalia is alternately branched to several orders but the branches are flat and all are spiky resembling a flattened "primitive" Christmas tree. Color is reddish purple to dark reddish brown and can be found in the lower intertidal on rocky shores.
