Urticina lofotensis (White spotted anemone)

This is a large anemone with a column diameter of up to 6 inches (15 cm.) and height to 10 in. (25 cm.).  The column is scarlet red and smooth with vertical rows of white tubercles.  Tentacles are without banding and are solid red or red with a yellow base.  This species is found from the low intertidal to a depth of 75 ft. (23 m.) on vertical rock surfaces where it is out of direct sunlight. 

It has also been known under the scientific name Tealia lofotensis and has quite a variety of common names including strawberry anemone, white spotted rose anemone, spotted rose anemone, red sea anemone, white spotted tealia, and scarlet anemone.
