Paranemertes peregrina (Purple ribbon worm)

Paranemertes
is a ribbon worm that grows to about 5 inches long. It is dark purplish
brown with a cream colored underside. Watch for this predator in
rocky areas and also areas of muddy sand. Don't let the fragile
appearance of this species fool you. Paranemertes is a
voracious predator known to attack, kill, and consume polychaete
worms larger than itself.
