Onchidella borealis (Leather limpet)

This
little guy is tiny (it only grows to about ½ inch long) so
you'll have to look for it to find it. It is related to both land
slugs and sea slugs (nudibranchs) but doesn't fit exactly into either
category. Watch for it among seaweed holdfasts and in rocky crevices.
It's easy to mistake Onchidella for a limpet but it has
a leathery appearance and distinct scalloping along its edge. Onchidella
borealis is an herbivore, grazing on algae and diatoms.
