Kaburakia excelsa (Large leaf worm)

This
flatworm is easily identified because of its large size.
While most Pacific Northwest intertidal flatworms are not more than
about an inch long, Kaburakia excelsa can reach a length
of 4 inches. Its low profile and tan color with darker spots
or streaks allows it to blend into its surroundings. Two
short retractable tentacles are located at the anterior end.
Look for it in the middle to low intertidal zones on the underside
of rocks and in mussel clumps, and also on floating docks.
