Dirona albolineata (Chalk-lined nudibranch)

This
is a gorgeous animal. Watch for it in rocky areas in the low intertidal.
It is very distinctive with the brilliant white lines against a
background that may be faintly purple, pink, gray, or nearly translucent.
This species feeds on snails, anemones, bryozoans, and ascidians.
It is generally less than 2 inches long. Scuba divers may
see this nudibranch in water up to 100 feet deep.
Other
common names for this species are frosted nudibranch, alabaster
nudibranch, and white-lined nudibranch.
