This is a gorgeous animal. Watch for it in rocky areas in the low intertidal. It is very distinctive with the brilliant white lines against a background that may be faintly purple, pink, gray, or nearly translucent. This species feeds on snails, anemones, bryozoans, and ascidians. It is generally less than 2 inches long.  Scuba divers may see this nudibranch in water up to 100 feet deep.

Other common names for this species are frosted nudibranch, alabaster nudibranch, and white-lined nudibranch.
